Obituary

Obituary for Concetta Magnotta

Concetta Magnotta was born on April 20, 1920, in Guardia Lombardi, Italy to Angela (Iuni) and Pietro Magnotta. She contracted polio when she was 4 years old, leaving her partially paralyzed, but that didn’t stop her from having a full and interesting life. She moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina with her family in the 1950’s, and to the United States in 1967.
She was a gifted seamstress, making dresses for herself and for her family. She was equally gifted in crochet, knitting and embroidery. In both Italy and Argentina, she did embroidery piecework for individuals and small companies.
Concetta was a devout Catholic. She spent the last portion of her life at Providence Rest Nursing home where she was with the Religious Sisters that she deeply loved and respected. Her family thanks everyone at Providence Rest who have taken such good care of her, physically and spiritually, for many years.
Concetta is survived by a niece and nephews, both in the United Sates and Italy.
