Obituary for Dolores Ballasedis

Dolores Ballasedis passed away June 22, 2020 at the NYS Veterans Home at Montrose where she spent her last seven months.
Dolores was born on January 27, 1925 in White Plains to Domenick and Marzia Saccone. She was one of 14 children, having 9 brothers and 5 sisters. She was a resident of West Harrison, NY for 60 years where she was devoted parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church, West Harrison for that entire time. She was involved with many of the church's activities including being a member of the Ava Maria, Holy Rosary and singing in the Church Choir. Participating in church activities was something she truly loved to do.
Through her life Dolores was a homemaker and also had a career of doing bookkeeping and accounting work for various companies.
Dolores true zeal in life was her love of family and her strong faith. Those two things were the most important things to her and she showed that in everything she did.
Dolores was married to her beloved husband, Alex for 24 years until he predeceased her in 1972.
She is survived by 5 children; Carol Wagner (James), Joyce Forkell (Albert), Diane Costable (Michael), Robert Ballasedis (Jean), Alan Ballasedis. She also is survived by 13 loving grandchildren, and 19 loving great grandchildren.
