Dominick Casarella, aged 90, of White Plains, New York passed away on 19 December 2019. He was born in Guardia Lombardi, Provence of Avellino, Italy on 20 October 1929. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1946 to 1952, earning the World War II Victory Medal and the Marine Corp Good Conduct Medal and attaining the rank of Technical Sargent. Dominick was a graduate of White Plains HS and Westchester Community College with an Associate in Applied Science, Electrical Technology, class of 1958.
He was employed by the New York Telephone Company for 30 years, retiring as an Engineer in 1985. Dominick was also a member of White Plains Troop 1 for over 20 years, serving in various capacities, including Scout Master.
He is the father of John (Tina) and Stephen (Helen); grandfather to Daniel, Joseph, Jordan, David, Diana and Gregory; great grandfather to Nadia, Claire, Brooke and Gregory, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife Bruna Alda (nee Chiarelli) of 66 years; his sister Rocchina Garrison; his brother Anthony Casarella; his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will always be remembered as an altruistic family man who improved the lives of others. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his family in Maine.
