Obituary

Elizabeth Schlichting, 86, of New Windsor, NY, passed away on October 9, 2020. She was born on May 15, 1934 in White Plains, NY to William and Frieda (nee Heinz) Klepzig.

She was married for 63 years to Richard Schlichting, marrying on May 27th, 1956 in White Plains, NY. He predeceased her in 2019. She is also predeceased by their son Michael Schlichting.

For 25 years Elizabeth was an electronics assembly worker for Northrup Grumman Aerospace Corporation on Long Island, retiring in 1996.

Elizabeth was devoted to her family and was a generous friend. She loved to laugh, enjoyed sharing a good meal with others, and looked forward to playing her weekly card game.

Elizabeth is survived by her two daughters: Karen Schlichting of Riverdale, NY, and Lisa Schlichting of Haiku, Maui.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Elizabeth’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
