Obituary

Obituary for Judith L. Bosworth (Lauer)

Judith Lauer Bosworth passed away on July 15, 2020 in Alpharetta, Georgia after living for many years with Parkinson’s disease.

Judy was born in Rochester, New York on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1937 to Agnes (Simminger) and Joseph Lauer. Judy graduated from Mount Vernon Seminary in Washington, D.C. and Garland Junior College in Boston, MA where she was President of her class. She married Robert Craig, whom she met on a blind date in Boston, on December 21, 1957. Together they raised their children in West Harrison, New York. Judy went on to receive her bachelor’s degree at Good Counsel College. She volunteered at St. Anthony’s parish in West Harrison for many years and then worked as a medical assistant for a cardiology practice at Westchester Medical Center. Judy was known for her quick wit and kind demeanor. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing bridge, painting, family gatherings, and writing. Her husband Bob Craig predeceased her in 1988. Judy married Robert Bosworth on May 27, 1995 and they retired to St. Augustine, Florida. Together they spent many happy years there and enjoyed having their family and friends visit. In 2014, they relocated to Alpharetta, Georgia to be closer to Judy’s family in that area. Judy is survived by her husband Robert Bosworth of Alpharetta, GA; sister, Barbara Lauer of Glens Falls, NY; daughters, Carrie Buckley (Steve) of White Plains, NY, Jeanne Restivo (Scott) of Alpharetta, GA, and Molly Greece of Croton on Hudson, NY; 6 grandchildren: Brian, Stephen, Clark, Owen, Forest, and Dahlia; step daughters Kerry Bosworth and Kelly Bosworth of Seattle, WA; and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her sister Kathy Gerbic.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to YAI (www.yai.org).
