Marjorie Mullin Nelson, a lifelong resident of White Plains, NY, passed away July 1, 2020. She was 98. Marjorie was born September 5, 1921 in White Plains to Harold Z. and Beatrice (nee Shaw) Carpenter.
On May 11, 1943 Marjorie married her husband Peter E. Mullin in White Plains.
Marjorie worked as a Nursery School Teacher at the Purchase Nursery School for 15 years, retiring in 1975. She was also a member of the Woman’s Club of White Plains, the White Plains Garden Club and the Orleans, MA Historical Society.
Marjorie is survived by her two sons; Charles J. (Judy) Mullin of White Plains, and Dennis P. (Patricia) Mullin of Ipswich, MA, and one sister, Barbara Manley. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Dennis Mullin Jr., Daniel Mullin, Brendan Mullin, Sarah Davis, and Ian Mullin, and eleven great-grandchildren; Cate, Will, Sean, Neve, Finn, Fiona, Henry, Gracie, Audrey, Kelly, and Shane. Besides her parents and Predeceased by her sister Gene Bowman and her husbands, Peter E. Mullin and Lloyd Nelson.
She was born and raised in White Plains where she graduated from White Plains High School in 1939. Marjorie loved antiques and flower arranging. She also lived in Purchase, NY and Orleans, MA.
