Obituary

Michael James Gravino, born August 31, 1937 in the Bronx to Minnie and Michael Gravino, passed in peace at his home on October 13, 2019 at the age of 82.

Michael attended Cardinal Hayes High School ('56) and was a US Marine. He worked for Xerox for 35 years. When he retired, he pursued his love of the outdoors, camping cross-country with his beloved wife, Evelyn. He was also a school bus driver for the White Plains Bus Company.

Michael and Evelyn married on October 14, 1961. They moved to White Plains in 1971 with their daughter, Meg. Many happy times were spent with friends and family camping throughout the United States.

Michael is survived by his wife Evelyn Gravino, daughter Meg Doherty, son-in-law Peter Doherty, granddaughter Brooke Doherty, brother Dominick Gravino, sister Theresa Gravino, and sister-in-law Georgiana Farrelly.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association. act.alz.org

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mike! I worked with him for many years at Xerox and seeing him at Xerox Reunions. He had a wonderful personality and was a pleasure to be around. From his comments the last time I saw him, he enjoyed his retirement and loved spending time with his family. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I hope they take warmth in knowing that he will always be with them! Elissa Dailey
