Obituary

Obituary for Patricia Maria Epstein

On Saturday, October 24th, 2020, Patrica Epstein, passed away at age 53.

Pat was born on April 24th, 1967 in May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica to Joseph and Pauline Keane. She received her nursing degree from Kingsboro College in New York and went on to receive her Master of Science (M.S) as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, her Master of Public Health (MPH) and her Master of Science (M.S.) in Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing from the University of South Florida.

Pat had the uncanny ability to make everyone she spoke to feel like she was their best friend. She was always there to listen and then give just the right advice to move you forward. She was there for us in our time of need, in things big and small. She was the glue of the family and she is deeply missed.

Pat is survived by her three children: Jordan, Matthew and Rachel Epstein, her parents, Joseph and Pauline Keane, her family of siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

Due to the global pandemic and limited capacity (per state law), a private funeral service by invitation only will be held on Sunday November 8th, 2020 at North Bronx Seventh Day Adventist Church at 9:30 A.M. A live stream will be provided via Zoom for those of us who are unable to attend in person.

Pat and I started at Glenmuir High School in the same year. More than a year and a half ago, we reconnected while planning an event to celebrate our 40th-year association with our Alma Mater. On our weekly planning meetings, Pat brought her infectious laughter as she led us down memory lane. Then in a sudden switch, she would put on her motherly tone as she got us re-focused. She had all these grand ideas that she wanted to implement and exhibited such passion as she tried to get us on board. Pat was caring, empathetic, and wanted the best for others. Sleep peacefully Pat; you will live on forever in our hearts. All your family and friends will sorely miss you. Condolences to Pat's parents, her children, and extended family.

Dewett and Gillian Wilson

To the Family of Patricia: We (Dewett and Gillian Wilson from Baltimore, Maryland) would like to express our deepest sympathy to you all. We have known Pat since Nursing school in New York and we have had the pleasure over the years to share a great friendship. Pat was a great mom, human being and a caring and devoted friend. She left us too soon and we will deeply miss her smile and sense of humor! Matthew, Jordan, Rachel, Mom and Dad and rest of family, we pray for God's strength and we hope, in time, the tears will turn to laughter and great memories. Pat, you're in heaven now! May your soul rest in peace!

In Loving Memory of a Dear Friend

Sadly you are no longer here
Somehow you remain ever near
Your memories are treasured within my heart.
You are ever so precious dear.
I remember you with warmest thoughts You’re unforgettable.
I remember you with fond memories
You were ever so wonderful.
You were one in a million and you’ll always be the precious and unique friend I care for so dearly.
Life is not the same without you
You are irreplaceable.
I will always cherish my memories of you.
I’ll always treasure you for though you.
For though you may be out of sight
You live forever in my heart and mind.
Your memories are very precious to me.
I treasure them endlessly
It was such a feeling to be by your side.
Sleep on and take your rest.

Love you Pat ..
