Peter Gisondi Sr., a Harrison resident, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family September 2, 2019 at the age of 90. He was born August 21, 1929 in White Plains to the late Antonio and Grazia Gisondi.
Peter served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953.
On February 14, 1954 he married his beautiful wife Frances and they spent the last 65 years together.
With a van and a couple of brushes he started Peter Gisondi & Co Inc. in White Plains, a thriving business since 1952.
In 1959, Peter began acquiring real estate and built an extensive portfolio. Through his dedication and hard work, he was able to serve many philanthropically. Peter enjoyed life to the fullest, golf, tennis, wine, traveling and friends but mostly he enjoyed his extensive family.
He is survived by his wife Frances, his children; Anthony (Eleanor) Gisondi of Valhalla, Grace (Gregory) Robertson of Boynton Beach, FL, Peter (Lisa) Gisondi Jr. and John (Maria) Gisondi of Harrison and a sister Isabel Garzia, as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren . Predeceasing him is a daughter, Lisa Gisondi Chiappetta, his sisters, Mary Libertella, Julie Delfino and Ann Sputo and his brothers Mauro Gisondi and Anthony Gisondi and his grandson William Robertson.
