Obituary for Phyllis Barg

Phyllis Kass Barg, 92, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away peacefully, in her son’s home, in Chappaqua, NY surrounded by her children, on November 18, 2020. Born to Russian immigrant parents in Newark, NJ on August 12, 1928, Phyllis graduated from Irvington High School at 16 years old and attended Upsala College in East Orange, NJ, becoming the first member of her family to attend college. Her illustrious real estate career spanned over 40 years in 3 states.
A private graveside funeral was held Friday, November 20, 2020 at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, NJ.
Phyllis is survived by her loving children, Marcy (Lew) Lefko, Jane Barg (Lew Scheindlin), and Steven (Carolyn) Barg and her beloved grandchildren, Hilary Lefko (Michael Belitzky), Michael Lefko, Alex Barg, Max Barg, and Eddie Scheindlin, and her devoted sister, Lois (Alvin) Schneider. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Esther and Abe Kass, and the love of her life, her husband of almost 50 years, Harold Bowen Barg.
