Sister Mary Judith was my 5th and 6th grade Teacher and my Boss at St. John the Evangelist Elementary. She lives forever in my memories and I cherish the love all of us at St. John’s received from her. A gentle loving Soul. Seeing pictures of Sister with Sr. Ann and Sr. Lauren bring back wonderful memories of them and my Mom. Love you Sister Mary Judith, Shannon Brandon Hoefer

Sister Henchey was mom's roommate for the past several months at St. Cabrini Nursing Home. In that short time, we (I always speak in the plural when it comes to mom), had shared more than simply living quarters, but had come to know Sister and share in all of her unique loving, kind, and funny ways. She was a quiet, yet profound presence, always there with her unexpected witticisms and sunny disposition (despite the difficulties she was experiencing).
She may not have known if it were morning or evening at times, however, she would recall if I was there or not the previous day - once stating: "you make my day when you're here." I responded: "you just made mine, Sister!"
She would always have a little wave and smile whenever I wheeled mom into the room, and would delight in a sip of her Pepsi with a cheery "it's deeelicious!"
We shall (already do) miss Sister's company....However, we are also so honored and happy that Sister made her way into mom's room and into our hearts these past several months.
Rest in peace, Sister, and we shall now forever think of you when we hear of your fav team (go Patriots!)
With all our love,
Shirley and Joan Ferraro

Father Dennis Williams

My sincere sympathy. Of course, I have offered Mass for Sister Judith...a wonderful lady, a great religious, and a kind, gentle principal. God bless!
